- When I had +FAA=1 as part of my init string, my mailer would detect
- the ring, but then just sit there until timeout. When I took out the FAA
- string, everything began working fine. Any ideas? My software does
- "support" adaptive answering *if* it knows what to look for.

- Well, another author provided a response in this thread - that
- motorola designed the power this way in order to avoid/limit feedback
- problems in the negotiation process. Personally, I'm not too keen on
- this "feature" (other modems don't appear to have speaker feedback
- problems). Will the premier be similarly designed?
